You are trusting us with private memories at a hard time. Here is exactly what we store, for how long, and how to remove it.

When you fill in the form, we store the memories and details you type and the four generated drafts. If you buy, we require an email address so we can deliver your files. We also keep the checkout, amount, currency, consent, refund, and customer email details needed to deliver the service and keep accounting records. We do not require an account and we never store your card number.
If you stop partway through the form, we save the answers you have given so far, so you can come back and finish. We do that from your first answer onward and it does not need your email address. If you ask us to send you a link back to your unfinished form, or you put an address in the box under the form, we store that address and use it for nothing else. If the form is then left untouched for about an hour, we send that link to it once, so an unfinished eulogy is not lost simply because a tab was closed. Once only, and never again for the same form. The saved copy is reachable later only through that private link, and it is deleted automatically on the schedule below whether or not you ever come back.
We process the details you submit to provide the service you request and perform our contract with you. We keep transaction records to meet legal bookkeeping duties. We handle support messages and limited fraud/security logs for our legitimate interests in helping customers and protecting the service. Google advertising measurement is used only as described below.
We keep your eulogy and the memories you shared for 30 days from the day you create it, whether or not you buy it. After that window it is permanently deleted from our database automatically. You can delete it sooner yourself at any time from your result page.
An unfinished form is deleted sooner: 14 days after the last time you touched it. If you finish it, the drafts and memories then follow the 30-day window above and the unfinished copy is removed.
Separate commerce records are kept for five years to support refunds, payment disputes, fraud prevention, and Norwegian bookkeeping. Messages sent to the EulogyStory support mailbox are deleted after 12 months unless a longer period is needed for an active complaint or legal obligation.
The link to your result page has a "Delete my data" option that removes your memories and drafts from our database immediately and permanently. This cannot be undone, and we cannot recover it for you afterward.
The details you share are used only to generate your eulogy. We do not use your memories, names, or generated text to train any model, ours or anyone else's, and we do not use them for marketing.
Your form text is sent through our private LiteLLM gateway to OpenAI for draft generation, fact checking, and a separate language-quality review. Stripe handles payments. Hostinger provides email and server infrastructure. Google receives limited advertising measurement only when the conditions below apply. These providers may process data outside Norway or the EEA under their applicable data-transfer safeguards. When you email support, a sanitized sender and subject notification is sent to our private Telegram chat; the message body and attachments remain in Hostinger. We do not sell personal information.
If you arrive here by clicking one of our ads on Google, your browser stores the ad-click identifier Google attached to that visit, in your own browser's storage, for up to 90 days. If you later buy a eulogy, we report that one purchase (the click identifier, amount, and time, never your memories, name, or email) back to Google so we can tell which ads pay for themselves. If you refund, we retract that report. If you arrive any other way, nothing is stored and nothing is reported. Clearing your browser storage removes the identifier at any time. Separately, we keep a plain daily tally of how many people reached each step of the site and how many of those arrived from an ad. Those are counts only: no identifier, no address, and nothing that can be traced back to a visit.
The homepage and public writing guides carry the Google AdSense site tag. Those pages may request advertising from Google; the create form, private results, checkout, refund, downloads, privacy, and terms pages do not carry that tag. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, device identifiers, and similar technologies for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention.
For visitors in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, a Google-certified consent message asks for a choice before personalized advertising is used. Consent choices are sent through the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. Visitors can decline personalized advertising where the message applies. EulogyStory does not send memories, names, eulogy text, or purchase email addresses to AdSense.
Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe processes the charge and only tells us whether it succeeded. Your email address collected by us or Stripe is used to send the result link, receipt, and required purchase information.
You may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a portable copy of personal data where applicable, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email support to exercise a right. You may also lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority or your local supervisory authority.
